CONFUCIUS SAY.....

Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. - Confucius

Happy Labor Day and God Bless America!
President Grover Cleveland declared Labor Day a national holiday in 1894; however, Labor Day was first celebrated in New York City in 1882.  So, Happy Labor Day!   In Red Bay, Alabama, this is a day all Tiffin Motorhome employees, as well as millions of people all over the country, enjoy a well-deserved day away from their jobs.

We are still enjoying northwest Alabama/northeast Mississippi and all it has to offer.  While we are here RV makes sure our scheduled service is done, appointments are kept, and I've had to explore/shop within a 100 mile radius for necessities - Tupelo, Florence, Tuscumbia, Muscle Shoals, and as far away as Huntsville.  When my friend, Kathy Page, and I explored Tupelo one of the discoveries we made was the oldest restaurant in Tupelo, Johnnie's Restaurant and Drive In.  If you are familiar with Tupelo you would know that Elvis ate there.  Not lately, though.

Different spelling - this time it's Johnnies!

It's the beginning of September which means that the air in Alabama smells like football.  Since we are from Florida we try to keep a low profile and keep our "tomahawk chops" to a minimum.

Unlike many people who come to Red Bay, we enjoy coming here!  To prove it and show you how unique it is, we've taken a few pictures.

Red Bay celebrates another anniversary!
There are a couple of areas in Red Bay that are considered graveyards for antiquated equipment.
These refrigerators were replaced in RV's for residential models.

These washing machines were replaced with more efficient washing machines.
The beautiful countryside is green rolling hills and beautiful 4 lane highways.

If all continues to go well, we leave Red Bay on Wednesday morning.  If you have any interest in how we "accessorized" this trip, look under the category of our blog called "Coach Upgrades".

In just a few days we'll be writing about the first lady of country music, Tammy Wynette, born about 20 miles from Red Bay in Tremont, MS.  That reminds me, I've got to get my cowgirl hat and boots out of the closet!  We will be on our way to big D, A, double LL A S, TEXAS, when we leave Red Bay.  Hope you enjoyed a nice long and relaxing weekend.
RV and MH - Happy Labor Day!
